The most important part of creating anything visual, is having a story. Without the story, the antagonist would never have a goal, Luke Skywalker would never bother to leave Tatooine and Jar Jar Binks would have been the main character.
 
I'm not about the the price of the camera, or the HDMI light. If we can cheat it and make it believable, do it. If we can make the audience believe that Avatar was "not" Pocahontas remade in 3D, then we should do it. Practicality is the key. Cheat if you must, but only to make the audience believe in your characters. Doesnt matter if they are singing, crawling or fighitng sharks.
 
If the story is good, they will believe it. I dont work with film, I do film. Touché.

Aboüt Simen P. Bergh

Simen is a proffesional digital film editor and Director.

He has studied at New York Film Academy in New York and Westerdals School of Communication in Norway, including Sound and Music at Romerike FHS. He also worked as a volunteer for Unicef in New York in the Department of Communications.

In his personal life Simen lives in Norway. He is enganged to Anita Aase and they both work with film and photography projects in their free time. If not, you can find him studying movies when ever he can.
